Had a 21st birthday party at Pigeons Parlour in Great Barr on Saturday evening. Wanted a chippy tea for 25 people. Visited Chris’s fish bar a while back, sampled the food and were happy with the service. Took a list early last week with all the details and then picked the food up on Saturday evening. Cannot fault the staff, were able to add three extras on midweek, then Saturday everything was ready on time, all labelled, all freshly cooked. They carried it to the car for us too! Absolutely can’t fault the service, the quality of the food and the overall experience. Excellent. Would highly recommend and am so thankful we used Chris’s fish bar as it made the whole experience and party go so smoothly. Thankyou!!!

The food was prepared quickly and was really tasty. Although I only opted for a portion of chips, the large portion could easily serve a family of 4 so it was great value for money. We also tried their Christmas specials of deep fried mars bar and deep fried mince pie. I would very much recommend both (although the mars bars cinches it for me!) as a wonderful little treat!

Absolutely banging chippy!! Had fish and chips and kebab and chips… The chips fish and chips were fantastic and the kebab and chips were lovely served with fresh salad and sauce. Service was bang on…. Very friendly and efficient…couldn’t fault it… will defo be my go to chippy 10/10 !

I use this chippy very often as it's my local. The overall service of this place is brilliant and I'd highly recommend it. I normally order from the specials menu and I find the quality and quantity of the meals to be great! I often order a sausage special or a chicken meat and chips and they both are incredibly done, the portions are very good and the price is amazing - keeps me coming back again and again. Staff are always lovely and welcoming too.
